Beulah G. Lloyd, 92 of Brazil, died at 8:13 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.

She was born November 27, 1912, in Brazil as the daughter of Walter and Maggie Tipton Brown. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1931. She married Roger "Dick" Lloyd November 12, 1931. They were married for 70 years until Dick's death in 2001.

She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 80 for 50 years and the First Methodist Church of Brazil since the age of 12. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a great lover of animals. She also enjoyed her friends in her euchre club in which she was active for over sixty nine years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Frederick; her sister, Edith Witty; her husband Dick Lloyd; and aunt, Pearl Brown.

She is survived by a niece, Joyce Jolly of Florida and cousins William and his wife, Glenys Moon, of Brazil and Irene Bingham of Mooresville, Indiana.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Clay County Humane Society.

Lucile May Cooper, 82 of Brazil passed away November 11, 2005, at 3:12 p.m. at the Clay Health Center. She was born February 15, 1913, in Clay City. She was the daughter of George and Rose Burger Miller. She graduated from Clay City High School, Class of 1931. On June 30, 1932, she married Paul W. Roger Hines. He preceded her in death in March of 1974.

She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church. She had in the past been a member of the First Brethren Church in Clay City. She was a member of the Alpha Class at Bethel, serving as president, the Home Circle Club, Senior Citizens Quilting Ladies of Bethel and the First Ladies Club.

Lucile first worked as a Nurses Aide at the Clay County Hospital for 17 years. In 1972 she graduated from the Ivy Tech Nursing program with her LPN. She worked at the Clay Health Center for 6 years as an LPN.

On July 21, 1979 she married Frank H. Cooper of Brazil. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded by her parents, one son Don Hines, one brother, Earl Miller; and one sister, Florence Kirchner,, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Terry G. and Cheryn Hines of Brazil; two daughters-in-law, Charlene Hines and Peggy Hines; seven grandchildren, Bruce Hines and wife, Michelle, kenny Hines and wife, Susan, Vickie Long and husband, Leon, Pamela McGinty and husband, Shawn, Tracy Hines and wife, Carol, Tony Hines and wife, Beth, and Jon Hines; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Rogene Snoddy and Vaughn Cooper; many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, with the Rev. Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Wednesday prior to services. Pallbearers will include Tony Hines, Jon Hines, Bruce Hines, Kenny Hines, Shawn McGinty and Leon Long.
