Bessie M. Boyce, 93, of Brazil, passed away November 13, 2005 at 11:36 p.m. at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility.
She was born January 14, 1912 in Staunton, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Barnett Ringo. August 6, 1927 she married James Oscie Boyce. Together they owned and operated the Boyce's
General Store in Center Point. She was a member of the Ashboro United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Ladies Aide Society. She enjoyed sewing and cookng for her family, and was famous for her homemade noodles. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mary Mccullough, Peggy Burns and her husband Eldon, Jimmy Boyce and his wife Carolyn; six grandchildren and their spouses, Steve and Teresa McCullough, Mike and Joyce McCullough, Greg and Kathy Burns, Larry and Jamie Burns, Tamara and Nasser Rowshandel, and Brad and Katie Boyce; six great-grandchildren, Heather McCullough, Jared McCullough and wife Heather, Jonathon Burns, Rachel Burns, Sarah Burns, and Noah Burns; step-great-grandchildren, Jenny and Geoff Payne and Adam Huddouck; great-great-grandson, Hudson Michael McCullough and step great-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Laura and Jacob Payne; one sister-in-law, Bessie Boyce; many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oscie Boyce passed away in 1987; one sister Carrie Camp; one brother Karl Ringo; and her son in law, Richard McCullough.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Rev. Myron James officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
