Earl D. McCullough, 88, of Center Point, passed away at 4:30 p.m., November 20, 2005, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born in Clay County, September 4, 1917, to Pearl and Ethel Hopkins McCullough. Earl attended Saline City High School and served in the United States Army in Manilla. He worked as a miner for Log Cabin Coal Company until the late 1980s when he retired. He married Glen Janice "G.J." Thomas, she preceded him in death. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, Brittany bird dogs, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially the great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Ralph McCullough.

Earl is survived by two sons, Jim McCullough and wife Maxine of Center Point and Bob McCullough and wife Barbara of Jasper, IN; four grandchildren: Angie Malone and husband Mike of Center Point; Jamie McCullough and wife Missy of Center Point; Rachel McCullough of Jasper, IN and Rob McCullough of Carmel, IN; four great-grandchildren, Austin McCullough of Carmel; Taylor Pickett, Tristen Malone and Devon Malone all of Center Point.

Visitation will be Tuesday at French Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at Ashboro Cemetery, Wednesday, November 24, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory.
