Evelyn Kay Vanatti, 70, of Brazil, died Monday afternoon at her residence.
She was born August 29, 1935, in Brazil, Indiana, as the daughter of Joseph and May McCullough Barr. Following graduation from Staunton High School she began a long career in local healthcare facilities as an insurance clerk. She was a member of Berea Christian Church and the Homebuilders Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. She is survived by her husband, Claude Mark Vanatti; one brother, Ken Barr and wife Dorothy; two sons, Stephen Grantham and David Grantham; one daughter, Pamela Grantham; stepdaughters, Kathy Madison and husband Jerry, Susan Starr and husband Albert, Linda Hice and husband James, Jessica Moody and husband Jason, Jennifer Rogers and husband Scott; two stepsons, Brad Vanatti and special friend Tina Burnham and Daniel Vanatti and wife Terry; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Berea Christian Church with Pastor Tom Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Berea Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
