Virgie M. Pell Hunt, 87, of Brazil, passed away at 4:40 p.m. November 21, 2005 in Holly Hill Health Care.

She was born March 8, 1918 in Clay County to Jesse and Ferrie Weaver Pell. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Ebenezer Church, a 1936 graduate of Van Buren High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College. She worked as a secretary for the CPA firm of Ernst and Young in Indianapolis for 30 years, retiring in 1979. Virgie enjoyed playing cards and traveling.

On June 30, 1948, she married Bernard A. McDonald and then married Robert J. Hunt on April 20, 1985, they both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dean and Doyne Pell; a brother-in-law, Don Hood; and a sister-in-law, Betty Pell.

Survivors include three brothers, Si Pell and wife Janet, Jay Pell and wife Jo Ann, and Dale Pell and wife Helen, all of Brazil; three sisters, Norma Hood and husband James "Ike", Joan Hood and Joy Hybarger and husband Bill, all of Brazil; a brother-in-law, Stanley Hunt and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Pell Price, all of Brazil and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005, in the Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., with the Rev. Bill Price officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2005 in the funeral home. Burial is in Calcutta Cemetery.
