Claude Mark Vanatti, 69, of Brazil, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005, at 1:05 a.m. in his residence. He was born January 24, 1936, in Brazil in the Perth area to Claude and Mildred Vanatti.
He worked at American Vitrified Products Co. 25 years with Public Service Indiana, working at Terre Haute and later transfering to Brazil where he was meter reader and then storeroom supplier. He was a faithful attending member of the Berea Christian Church and the Homebuilders Class.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Merlyn, Milton and Aaron Vanatti; and his first wife of 37 years, Mary Kathryn Vanatti. He later married Evelyn Kay Barr on April 14, 1996, and she passed away November 21, 2005.
Surviving are five daughters, Kathy and Jerry Madison, Susan and Albert Starr, Linda and James Hice, Jessica and Jason Moody and Jennifer and Scott Rodgers; two sons, Brad Vanatti and friend Tina Burnham and Daniel and Teresa Vanatti; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Mildred and Charley Reisinger and Alma and Jimmy Blubaugh; and one brother, Tim and Sue Vanatti.
Services will at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, in the Berea Christian Church with Pastor Tom Hess officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in the Lawson-Miller Chapel and from 10 a.m. until services on Wednesday in the church.
Burial will be in the Bee Ridge Cemetery.
