Darrell C. Walker, 90, of Clinton, passed away Dec. 10, 2005, at 6:41 a.m at Western Central Community Hospital, Clinton, Indiana.
Darrell was born to Harrison S. Walker and Lora Lock Walker on April 1, 1915, in Wayne County, Illinois.
Darrell is survived by his son, Darrell G. Walker and his wife, Juanita, of Clinton, IN; a daughter, Renee Mace, and her husband, Carl, of Rosedale; three grandchildren, Troy Walker and his wife, Rebecca, of Rosedale; Dana Mace, Daryl Mace of Terre Haute; five great-grandchildren, Kody Walker, Kaleb Walker of Rosedale, Alysa Mace and Austin Mace of Terre Haute; Trevor Mace of Rockville, IN; and a niece Patty Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Pellish Walker in 1977, his parents and a niece Jane Sills.
Darrell graduated from Riley High School and was a Navy World War II veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Rosedale Post 290. He worked as a meat inspector for the State of Indiana. He loved to fish, hunt and play bingo. He will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Mattox Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Herb officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Diamond, Indiana.
