Bernice M. Fulwider, 90, of Lebanon, IN, died Dec. 8, 2005, at 4:25 p.m. in Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
Born Sept. 13, 1915, in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of Fred Simmons and Lydia Polland. She was married to Cleo Worrell who died in 1959 and then married Willis Fulwider on Dec. 24, 1961, who died Feb. 28, 1977.
She was a 1933 graduate of Avon High School and attended Central Normal in Danville, IN. She worked for Owens Grocery Store in Lizton as clerk and manager for a number of years, then worked at Levins Mens Store in Indianapolis for a number of years as clerk; then worked for Ellis Trucking Firm in Indianapolis for some time. Her hobbies were gardening and taking care of her lawn.
Survivors include two sons, Ted (Pat) Worrell, Rosewell, GA; Bernie (Myrna) Worrell, Brownsburg; two daughters, Bonnie Tunkus, St. Petersburg, FL; Dixie (Fred) Rogers, Barrington, IL; a stepdaughter, Betty Fulwider (Bob) Blackwell, of Brazil, IN; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and eight step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Patty Fulwider.
Services will be conducted at Russell & Hitch in Lebanon, IN, Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Lee Faust officiating.
