Frances Evelyn Snow, 85, of Brazil died at 11:55 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville.
She was a homemaker.
Born Aug. 12, 1920, in Perth, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Jenkins Smith.
Her husband of 63 years, James Lee Snow, whom she married on Aug. 11, 1940, died on Dec. 26, 2003.
Survivors include a son, David L. Snow and his wife, Sheryl, of Brazil; a brother, Wayne Smith, of Rosedale; seven grandchildren, James (Heather) Snow of South Bend, Kelly (Kevin) Kraus of Boone Grove, Ind., William (Cathy) Snow of Ohio, Lisa (Chad) Kay of Valparaiso, Ind., Susan (Dave) Hatch of Boone Grove, Ind., Jeremy (Lacey) Snow of Brazil and Brian (Elizabeth) Snow of Brazil; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Gene Snow; three brothers; and two sisters.
She was a member of the Turner (Ind.) Community Church, Dick Johnson Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Clay County Extension Homemakers Club and was a Sunday School teacher and 4-H Leader for many years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 Main St., in Rosedale with the Rev. Dale Dickison officiating.
Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and before services Wednesday in the funeral home.
