CHARLES LEON THOMAS

Charles Leon Thomas, 57, of Fowler died at 6:51 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville. Born Aug. 16, 1948, in Danville, Ind., he was a member of Operators Engineers Local 103, working for Gradex, Inc. in Indianapolis. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Greencastle.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Hubble (Tim) of Fillmore, and Missy Fishel (Dean) of Monrovia; three sons, James Thomas (Melissa) of Edmonton, KY; Charles Thomas of Indianapolis and Derek Fuehrer of Fowler; four sisters, Janice Leonard (Kenneth) of Danville, Fay Haltom of Coatesville, Lillie "Peachie" Kirton of Brazil, and Dian Love (Mike) of Coatesville; and his companion, Paula Fuehrer, of Fowler. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a great-grandson.

A memorial gathering is scheduled 4-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at the Fowler American Legion, 400 East 5th St., Fowler.
