Madonna McKenzie Newport, 79, of Brazil passed away December 29, 2005 in Holly Hill Health Care.

She was born April 25, 1926, in Staunton, to Gilbert and Ruby Ecard McKenzie.

Mrs. Newport was a graduate of Staunton High School, attended Terre Haute Business College and was a member of the Penial United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Olive Wolf and Jean Deardorff.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll Newport, of Brazil; a son, David Newport and his wife, Jacqueline, of Brazil and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in the French Funeral Home with visitation from 4-7 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2006 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Summit Lawn Cemetery.
