Paul Kent, 82, of Vincennes, Ind., died at 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born Nov. 11, 1923, in Rockville, he was the son of Shelby and Grace Burns Kent. He was married to Norma Jean Beadling Kent.
Mr. Kent graduated from Rockville High School class of 1941, the Illinois Institute of Technology at Chicago and operated Parke County Sales and Service until he left the county in 1955. He became a Magnavox dealer in 1960 and worked out of his home until his retirement.
He was an Amateur Radio Operator, holding the highest class license. He was an avid sports fan and faithful Indiana University and NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his wife; sisters, Pauline Kent and Frances Schrader, both of Rockville; a niece, Patricia Atkinson, of Rosedale and a nephew, Greg Schrader, of Fort Myers, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, a niece, and a great-niece.
Private burial services will be held at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
