John F. Osborne, 47 of Brazil passed away January 7, 2006, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He had been battling cancer since May of 2005.
He was born December 4, 1958, in Terre Haute, the son of Fred Osborne and Louise Bridgewater Osborne. He last worked as a service technician at the Brazil Autoplex. He had also worked at the Pizza Hut in Brazil and at the Brazil Amoco. On June 6, 1998, he married Connie Matherly Osborne, she survives. He enjoyed following NASCAR, especially Rusty Wallace.
Survivors include his wife Connie; his parents, Fred and Barbara Osborne of Illinois, Louise and Kenneth Dobson of Indianapolis; his children, Andy Osborne, John Osborne, Olivia Smith, Brandi Powell; stepchildren, Charles Kiefling, Jeremy Kiefling, LaBreeska Phillips and her husband Jason; grandchildren, T.J. Smith, Jenni Smith, Andrea Osborne, Elana Osborne, Larry Powell, Jubilee Powell, Kaylee Phillips, MacKinze Phillips, and Riley Kiefling; and brothers and sisters, Ernie Dobson, Leslie Dobson, Christine Osborne, and Judy Dobson.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jenny.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary gifts to assist with expenses.
