Donald E. Grigsby, 48, of Brazil passed away unexpectedly January 15, 2006 at Union Hospital.
He was born on January 15, 1958, in Brazil, the son of Everett Grigsby and Betty Cooksey Grigsby. He attended school at Jackson Township and Van Buren High School. He worked at MI Home Products and the Wake-Up service station before starting his own lawn care business in 1999. He enjoyed playing cards, watching western movies and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Hargis and her husband, Thurman, of Brazil; one daughter, Jessica Hayden, and her husband, Jerry, of Clay City; his friend and companion, Tonya Pruitt, and her daughter, Kallie, of Brazil; two grandchildren, Mallory Hayden and Brody Hayden; three brothers, Dean Grigsby and wife Barbara, Larry Grigsby and wife Myra and Lee Hargis and wife Jory; one sister, Joyce Phillips, and husband, Bill; stepsisters, Sandra Morlan and husband, Connie, Judy Burk and husband, Michael, and Arlene McCauliffe and husband, Ed; one stepbrother Jim Hargis and wife, "Kim"; many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Grigsby, in 1992.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at French Funeral Home with Robert Stultz officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. and again Wednesday prior to services.
