Mildred H. Braden, 80, of Brazil, passed away January 17, 2006, at Union Hospital at 1:24 a.m.
She was born September 8, 1925, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Roy Schweinsberg and Gustava Middaugh Schweinsberg. February 8, 1946, she married John Braden, Sr. he survives. She worked for Quaker Maid in Terre Haute for over 36 years. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 1127 Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandma.
She is survived by her husband John; one daughter Beverly O'Neal of Brazil; one son John Braden, Jr. and wife Maggie of West Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Theresa McCain and husband Charles, Jimmy O'Neal, Jr, Heather Nicole Braden, and Jody Lynn Hester and husband Nick; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Matthew McCain, Chelsea Elizabeth McCain, and Abigail Ann Hester; four siblings, George, Emma Rose, Alberta and Mary; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Jim Schweinsberg.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at French Funeral Home with Dennis Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00-8:00 p.m., and again Friday prior to services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the charity of choice.
