Charles E. "Gene" Moody, 72, Linton, and formerly of Bloomfield, died January 17, 2006, at 5:30 a.m. at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born December 20, 1933, in Dugger, Indiana, he was the son of Gerald Moody and Esta Pigg Moody. He was a self employed auto mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy. He attended the Solsberry United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Kay Moody, Bloomfield; three brothers, Dale and wife Jenny Moody, Washington, Indiana; Dean Moody, Payson, Arizona, and Jerry and wife Edna Moody, Springville, Indiana; two sons, Rodney E. Moody and Fred and wife Chris Moody, all of California; step children, Melanie and husband Todd McCabe, Springville, Indiana; Mark and wife Karen Hash, Mike and wife Barbara Hash, all of Solsberry, Indiana; and Monte Hash of Bloomington, Indiana; one granddaughter, Alex Moody; nine stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral services will be at a later date at Lester Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with Rev Billy Ed Hostettler and Rev. Ed Beedle officiating.
