Robert E. "Bob" Wells, 71, of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at 8:35 a.m. in Grandview Health & Rehabilitation at Martinsville. He resided in Martinsville the past 45 years, coming from Brazil.
He was born in Indianapolis, on November 30, 1934. He was the son of Paul William Wells and Thrya Maye (Morris) Sears. He married Marilyn L. (Valentine) Wells of Martinsville, IN on January 31, 1953.
He was a graduate of Bridgeton High School with the class of 1952. He was a supervisor at Aero-Fab before he retired in 1993. He was a member of Martinsville V.F.W. Post 1257, Martinsville American Legion Post 230, Martinsville Elks Lodge 1349, National Rifle Association and F.O.P.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, guns, playing golf, I.U. basketball and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Raymond E. Sears; a sister, Linda Sue Sears, and one grandchild.
Survivors include one son, Rob Wells of Bloomington, Indiana; three daughters, Debbie Dunigan of Martinsville, Donna Brubeck and Deanna Waskom, both of Indianapolis; two sisters, Karen Jones of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Mary Alice Brown of New Mexico; and one brother, Richard Sears of Florida.
Services will be conducted Sunday, January 29, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Neal & Summers Mortuary, Inc. with James and Larry Valentine officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Neal & Summers and one hour prior to funeral service on Sunday. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
