Eleanor Ruth Nicoson McCullough of Lewis, IN, went to be with the Lord Thursday Morning, February 2, 2006, at her residence.
She was born February 2, 1921, in Sullivan County to the Rev. Ernest and Ethel (Wakins) Nicoson.
Eleanor was a member of Briley Chapel Community Church for many years where she served as the pianist. She devoted her time to her Lord, family, music and flowers, having owned a flower shop in Clay City.
She is survived by her three sons, Don McCullough of Lewis, IN; Dick Mccullough and Dan McCullough and wife Laura of Dallas TX; four grandchildren, Andrew, Miriam, Ryan and Kimberley; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Warren (Gene) Nicoson and wife Juanita of Terre Haute, IN; three sisters, Imogene Shidler of Terre Haute, IN; Doris Poindexter of Marengo, IN and Beverly June shaw and her husband Jim of Terre Haute, IN; three sisters in law, Nadine and Nancy Nicoson of Terre Haute, IN and Betty Strahla and her husband Art of Indianapolis. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence McCullough on July 3, 2003, brothers, Noval, Max and Ed (Ted) Nicoson; two brothers in law, Jack Shidler and Robert Poindexter.
Services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. with brother Eddie Meyers officiating. Burial will follow at the McCullough Zion Cemetery, Cory. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Briley Chapel Community Church.
