Ernest G. Mosteller, age 79 of Brazil died at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born October 8, 1926 in Jackson Township in Parke County, Indiana, as the son of Elmer and Arizona Morlan Mosteller. He attended Bridgeton Grade School. Following school he became an auto mechanic and also drove a school bus for the Parke County School Corp.
He was married to Mary Brown Mosteller who survives him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Jack, Jim, Chester, Robert and Raymond Mosteller; two sisters, Marie Rightsell and infant Mary; one daughter, Susie Anderson; one grandson, Clint Anderson and his first wife, Irene.
He is survived by his wife Mary; two sons, Gary Mosteller and wife Lou and Ronnie Benassi of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mary Mellon and husband Tom of Terre Haute and Donna Anderson and husband Rick of Clay County; two step daughters, Sharon Cottrill and husband Ron of Carbon and Stephanie Lear and husband Steve of Parke County; one step son, James Greenlee of Florida; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Creed, and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mosteller.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Moore Funeral Home with funeral services at 12 noon with Pastor Thomas Manbeck officiating. Burial will follow at North Union Cemetery. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
