He was born July 1, 1952, to Wayne and Mary Lou Hauser Schopmeyer. He was a truck driver for BBL Trucking and had previously worked for Great Dane Trailers.
Mr. Schopmeyer was a graduate of Patricksburg High School, a member of the House of Prayer in Ellettsville, Riders of H.O.P.E., and participated in Emmaus Walk 26.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Hauser Schopmeyer and a sister, Linda Susan Schopmeyer.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Schopmeyer; his father, Wayne Schopmeyer of Bowling Green; 10 children, Michelle Sheese and fiancé, Todd Sevier of Terre Haute; Brandy May and husband Randy of Bloomington, Indiana; Tiffany Schopmeyer and fiancé James White of Ellettsville, Sarah Rubeck and fiancé Jason Martin of Coal City; Amanda Headley and husband Ben of Spencer, Indiana; Deana Rubeck of Bowling Green; Michael Schopmeyer of Bowling Green; Brianna Schopmeyer of Bowling Green; Phillip Schopmeyer of Bowling Green and Mikayla Schopmeyer of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Tristan and Caleb Sheese of Terre Haute; and India and Karis Jolly of Bloomington; one brother, Lynn Schopmeyer and wife Nancy of Clay City; and a large extended family.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2006, in the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with visitation from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2006.
Burial will be in the Poland Zion Cemetery.
