Suzan Adelaide Orndorff, 57, died Wednesday at her home in Brazil.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, February 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William Fredrick and the late Margaret Mae (Akers) Church. Mrs. Orndorff married Victor Eugene Orndorff Sr. on Feb. 20, 1966, at Terre Haute.

She was a homemaker and raised three children. She suffered from post polio syndrome. She had a lifetime of struggles but managed to raise her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Fredrick Orndorff, one brother, James Leroy Hargett and one sister-in-law, Thelma Orndorff.

She is survived by her husband Victor Eugene Orndorff Sr.; one daughter Jennifer Lynn Layne and her husband Robert of Brazil; one son Victor Eugene Orndorff Jr. of Greenwood; three granddaughters: Randi Nicole Orndorff of Greenwood, Shelby Danielle Layne of Brazil; Cortney Michelle Chapman of Terre Haute; two grandsons, Corey Eugene Layne of Brazil; Russell Price of New Whiteland, Indiana; and one daughter-in-law: Tabby Orndorff of New Whiteland.

Other survivors include eight sisters and their husbands, Patti and Robert Bullock, Judy and Steve Shuler, Peggy Church and Joe Pitts, Kathy and Randy Sparks, Billie Rae Johnston, Emma and Ira Hinds, Wilma and Robert Barnes, Marsha and Steve Hay all of Terre Haute; and one brother: Paul and his wife Anna Akers of Brazil; six brothers-in-law and their wives, Loren Orndorff of Terre Haute; Charles and Marsha Orndorff of Tatum, Texas; William and Darlene Orndorff of Hume, Illinois; John and Francis Orndorff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Manford and Kathy Orndorff of Terre Haute; Michael and Debbie Orndorff of Terre Haute and best friends, Betty and Pete Foster of Brazil, and Kathy Price of Brazil.

Friends may call Thursday, February 16, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home.
