Timothy E. Kiefer, Sr., 64, of Center Point, died Feb. 10, 2006, in the emergency room of St. Vincent Clay Hospital at 11:29 p.m.
He was born August 11, 1941, in Clay County the son of Elmer C. Kiefer and Mary DeCamp Kiefer. He attended Brazil schools. His work career included Mark E. French and Son, Lawson Welding, Col. Knust Sale Barn, and Johnny Portamont Carnival Show. He was very proud of his role in traffic control at the Lincoln Park Speedway. His passion in life was stock car racing at Lincoln Park Speedway every Saturday night and being with the many friends he had made there over the past 30 years.
He is survived by his three sons, Tim Kiefer, Jr, Clyde Kiefer and David Kiefer; four daughters, Alice Wetnight, Minnie Coley and husband Mark, Shirley Walters and husband Robert, and Sara Kiefer all of Clay County; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Patty Winn, and Annie Allsup and husband Don; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; his girlfriend, Marilyn Hinkles and caretaker Ron Moon.
Services will take place Tuesday at 7 p.m. at French Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7p.m.
