Dorothy Louise Lundstrom Pestoff, 76, of Terre Haute died at 2 p.m on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, in Union Hospital.

She was a wife, mother, sister and homemaker. Born in Terre Haute at St. Anthony Hospital on September 26, 1929, she was the daughter of Alice and John Lundstrom. She was married to Harry C. Pestoff. He preceded her in death in 1990.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, John, Robert, Richard, Joseph and James Lundstrom and one sister, Mary Alice Haley.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Veronica Schmidt and her husband, Martin and Ann Miller, all of Terre Haute; Mary Kay Hanes and her husband, Daniel of Tyler, Texas; H. Joseph Pestoff and his wife, Christine, of Brazil and John Pestoff and his wife, Maryann of Arden, North Carolina; a brother, Vince Lundstrom of Terre Haute; and a sister, Cel Lundstrom of Terre Haute. Her grandchildren are Jessica, Martin, Michael, Lisa, Chris, Erik, John, Stephen and Rebecca Schmidt all of Terre Haute; Katie, Maggie and Mark Miller also of Terre Haute; Stephanie, Rachel, Kyle and Bryant Pestoff of Brazil; and David, Lauren and Alison Pestoff of Arden, North Carolina.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a guardian of their Perpetual Adoration Chapel. She was a charter member of Birthright of Terre Haute and was a volunteer for sixteen years at the Clay County Well Child Clinic in the Brazil Armory. She attended St. Margaret Mary Grade School and Central Catholic High School located at St. Patricks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2006, in St. Patrick Church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the church with a Rosary service to take place at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
