Virginia Marie Walbring, 89, of Terre Haute and formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2006. She was born on February 25, 1917, in Hall, Indiana, to Robert Guy and Elsie May Welty Wooden.

She was a 1935 graduate of Cloverdale High School.

Her husband, Marvin A. Walbring; a son, William Walbring; three brothers; and two sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, David Walbring and wife, Nancy, of Rosedale, Mary Ann Brannan and husband, Robert, of Brazil, and Dina Thornburg and husband, Daryl, of Pittsboro, North Carolina; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, 602 E. Washington St., in Greencastle with the Rev. Paul Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2006, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
