Jim Chavis, 63, Rockville, Ind., died February 28, 2006, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

He was the son of David Norman Chavis and Nellie Elizabeth Morlan Chavis.

Survivors include his mother; two brothers, Kenneth and David Chavis; one sister, Judy; three nephews and four nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at Gooch Funeral Home, Sunday, March 5, 2006, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Saturday, March 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery in Carbon.
