Barbara J. Meddles, 63, died March 8, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.
Born March 15, 1942, in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of Lester Flint and Geraldine Martin Flint.
She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, former executive with the Girl Scouts, Camp director at NaWaKwa, active in church youth programs and Women's Relief Society. She was also Director of the Girl's Camp Program. She was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and was a polio survivor.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Meddles; two sons, Matthew Meddles of Mattoon, Illinois, and Martin Meddles of Evansville, Indiana; one daughter, Jennifer Meddles of Brazil; father-in-law, Carl Meddles of Terre Haute; one sister, Sharon Thomson and husband David of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one aunt and uncle, George and Janet Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the DeBaun Funeral Home Springhill Chapel with Chris Newton officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to either Boy Scouts of America or Riley Children's Hospital.
