Dorothy V. Morlan, age 86 of Brazil, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Clay Health Center.
She was born November 5, 1919, in Brazil, Indiana, as the daughter of Irvon and Elsie Antis Rader. She was a 1937 graduated from Brazil High School. She married Everett Morlan July 17, 1937, in Terre Haute. He preceded her in death in 1989. She attended Epworth United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Andrew and Karl Rader and one sister, Marie Rader Sheese.
She is survived by one daughter, Madonna McKinney and husband James of Brazil; one son, Jerry Morlan and his wife Susan of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren Michael McKinney and wife Jennie of Bowling Green, Michelle Nance and husband Robby of Brazil and Melanie Keller and husband Robert of Brazil; great grandchildren, James McKinney, Nathan McKinney, Stacey and Josh Clark, Steven Nance, Megan Keller, Morgan Keller, Jordan Keller, Joe Glenn, JoAnna Glenn and Victoria McKinney; sisters-in-law Ruth Escott, Lucille Allen and Ruth Morlan and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be noon to 2:00 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Warren Whittington officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Clay County YMCA. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
