Mr. Robert Quincy Edmonds Sr., age 84, of Brazil and formerly of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2006, in Terre Haute, Indiana at HealthSouth. He was born March 18, 1921, in Logansport, Indiana to Raymond and Monta (Miller) Edmonds.

He married Bernice Marie (Humes) Edmonds on Sept 14, 1946; she preceded him in death on April 27, 1987.

Mr. Edmonds is survived by his children: Roberta (Francis) Kyle of Brazil, Robert (Nancy) Edmonds Jr. of Seymour, Gary "Snake" (Vickie) Edmonds of North Vernon, Raymond (Linda) Edmonds of Campton, NH, Larry Edmonds of Brazil and Art (Pamela) Edmonds of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Angie Edmonds, Chrischelle (Ed) Brown, Terry Johnson, Katina Edmonds, Anna (Jamel) Smith, Raymond (Kelly) Engleking, Tamara Cosby, Jennifer Edmonds, Stephanie (Andy) Maschino, Robert W. Edmonds, Charlotte Edmonds, Ben Edmonds, Jason Rudicel and Christina Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; four step-children: Brenda Wade, Jimmy Blewett, Mark Blewett and Kevin Blewett; one sister: Charlotte Jackson of Indianapolis; and a host of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bernice Marie (Humes) Edmonds; second wife, Ella Edmonds; four brothers: Floyd, Donald, Arthur and Jack Edmonds; five sisters: Lucille, Marguerite, Louise, Juanita and LaDonna; and three grandchildren: William Johnson, Fred Allen Edmonds and Porticia Lorainne Edmonds.

Friends may call Voss Funeral Service on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services will be held at Voss Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brenda Edmonds-Wilson and the Rev. Deborah Lightfoot-Oats officiating.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with full-military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour.
