Gerald "Jerry" McKinney, 62 of Greencastle, passed away Monday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born May 19, 1943, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Leroy McKinney and Pauline Zavala. He had attended Manuel High School in Indianapolis. He married Judy (Viers) McKiney on January 12, 1968, and she survives.
Mr. McKinney was an United States navy veteran. He had been a Teamster truck driver for over thirty years and had also worked at Black's Lumber Company in Greencastle until his illness.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union local 135 and the Moose Lodge No.1592, Greencastle.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eric McKinney and wife, Renee of Carmel, Indiana, and Dustin McKinney of Greencastle; three daughters, Kim Bragg of Greencastle, Rene McKinney of Brazil and Tina Graham and husband, Scott of Greencastle; a brother Ross Miller and wife, Kathy of Indianapolis; a stepmother, Phyllis McKinney of Indianapolis; two stepsisters, Sharon and Karen; a stepbrother Terry; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Friends may call at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday with a Moose Lodge Memorial walk thru at 7 p.m.
