Wilbur Max Harden, 92, of Clay City, died March 24, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at Owen Valley Health Campus. He had been a resident there for the last year. He was born May 20, 1913, in Clay City the son of Harrison and Gertrude Steiner Harden. He loved to fish, feed the birds and spend time with family.

He is survived by his mother Mary Woodburn Leohr Harden; two sisters Rose Marie Weber and husband Jim, and Mary Alice Schroer; one brother Harrison L. and wife Bobbie Harden; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Hart and Gary Nay and wife Barbara; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mildred Harden Hart and Martha Leohr May and brother in law, Marvin Schroer.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Harden officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m.1 pm.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Beverly Farm Foundation, 6301 Humbert Road, Godfrey, IL 62035 or to Little Creek Equestrians, 1799 N. Sonnefield, Center Point, IN 47840.
