Rosine Jane McKean, age 87, of Brazil, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Holly Hill Healthcare in Brazil.

She was born January 17, 1919, in Brazil, Indiana, as the daughter of John and Jeannie Menier McKean. She worked as a custodian for her church and other businesses. Up until her health deteriorated, she attended the Church of Christ on Blaine Street in Brazil.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1952 and her mother in 1971; one brother, Alfred McKean and one sister, Kathryne Humble.

She is survived by one nephew, Gilbert McKean of Anderson, Indiana; one niece, Jane McKean and four cousins, Roger McKean and his wife Bessie of Poland, James McKean and his wife Eileen of Brazil, Estel McKean and his wife Pat of Parke County and Sylvia Vanatti and her husband, Clarence of Terre Haute.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Richard Pippin officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
