Kathryn Marie Kyle, 81, of Seelyville passed away at 10 a.m. April 5, 2006, at her residence.
Born January 8, 1925, in Knox Cunty, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Ruddell and Ella (Emmert) Ruddell.
She was a 1943 graduate of Brazil High School, 1947 graduate of St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing and an honorary alumni of ISU School of Nursing. She was a member of the Cross Tabernacle Church, St. Anthony Alumni Association, Terre Haute Chapter of Florence Nightingales, Union Hospital Service League and a volunteer with the Chaplains office at Union Hospital for twelve years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Kyle who died August 15, 2005; both parents; a brother, Harry (Dink) Ruddell of Indianapolis, IN and a sister, Opal Novotney of Brazil, IN.
Survivors include a son, John E. Kyle, Jr. (Suzy), Terre Haute; two daughters, Marie Y. Rose Mahurin (Ed) and Jeanne E. Pounds, a sister, Thelma Payton, all of Terre Haute; three grandsons, John David Kyle (Amy) of Greenwood; Jason Kyle of Indianapolis and Kraig Kyle of Terre Haute; eight granddaughters, Ellie C. Pounds, Plainfield; Katie L. Pounds, Jamie E. Pounds, Lindsey Rose-Wallace, Brittney Rose, Skyla Mahurio and Kathryn Heavin Mahurin, all of Terre Haute; and one great-granddaughter, Calla.
Services will be conducted at the Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2006, at 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
