John W. Fulk Jr., 59, of Staunton, passed away in his home Monday, April 17, 2006 with family surrounding him. He had been in Hospice of the Wabash Valley for several months.
He was born June 10, 1946, married the love of his life June 18, 1967. He loved the great outdoors, loved to hunt and fish to provide for his family. He was a proud member of the NRA. He kept his faith in God on Fridays with his good friend Pastor Dan.
Survivors include his wife Nyla R. Higginbotham Fulk of 38 years, daughters, Hester M. Page and husband, Gary, Brazil; Nyla R. Young and husband, Jerry, Staunton; sons, John W. Fulk III and wife Elizabeth, Staunton and Everett W. Fulk, Brazil; in his heart, adopted daughter/nurse, Annette Jenkins, sisters, Ruth E. Reynolds, Terre Haute; Ruby J. Barnett, Reelsville, Indiana; Gladys F. Collins and husband Bud, Staunton; Sadie J. Smith, Brazil; Margaret I. Miller and husband Bill, Mooresville, Indiana; brothers, Tom R. Fulk and wife Pam, Brazil; Joe W. Fulk and wife, Faye, Missouri; grandchildren Nicole Fulk, Bobbie Fulk, Tiffany Young, Brady Fulk, Jordan Tracey, Jennifer Young, Johnny Fulk IV, Joshua Fulk, Landon Fulk and Parker Fulk; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother, mother, Hester M. Lints Fulk Smith; father, John W. Fulk, Sr., stepfather, Everett Smith, sisters, Maryann Braden, Thelma Fulk, Idamae Martin and brother George E. Fulk.
Roselawn Funeral Home assisted in making the arrangements. Cremation will take place, so no visitation or funeral times are scheduled.
