Donald Leon McMillin, Sr., 76, of Brazil, died June 2, 2006, at 12:52 p.m. at Union Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Terre Haute, the son of Charles A. McMillin and Cora Stewart McMillin.
On Oct. 7, 1955, he married Virginia Rose Reedy, she survives.
He worked 48 years for John's Dental Laboratory, retiring in 1993. He was a Mason (Brazil Lodge 264), a member of the Scottish Rite, Zorah Shrine, and attended Christ Community Church. He enjoyed his family and camping at Raccoon Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Opal Lloyd, three brothers, Kenneth McMillin, Floyd McMillin, and Orville McMillin and two infant siblings, Joe and Eva.
He is survived by his wife Virginia McMillin; children, Linda Moody and husband David, Donna Atkinson, and Donald McMillin, Jr. and wife Marsha all of Brazil; nine grandchildren, Dr. David Moody, Darrin Moody, Dan Moody, Dr. Darla Dalton, Kim Lovett, Anthony Hart, Jason McMillin, Jordan McMillin, and Abby McMillin; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home, Masonic services will be at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Christ Community Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
