Madonna Mae Mayrose, 75 of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly July 5, 2006, in the emergency room at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
She was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Brazil, the daughter of Mark Ed French and Thelma Shaffer French. She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1948. June 16, 1949, she married Jack Mayrose, he survives.
She had attended EUB Church in Harmony for several years.
She and Jack have been devoted animal lovers and their home has always been a refuge for dogs and cats.
Madonna enjoyed her group of friends from the beauty shop, and looked forward to their visits together. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandma.
She is survived by her husband Jack Mayrose; two daughters and sons in law, "Corky" and Dan Parr and "Annie" and Dave Parr; three granddaughters, Shandi Parr, Shayli Parr, and Shasti Parr all of Brazil; brother in law, Robert Mayrose and wife Josephine of Clay City; nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Bill French; and sister in law, Wynemah Miller.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at French Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Parr officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and again Sunday one hour prior to services.
