John D. Braswell, 48, of Center Point, passed away July 6, 2006, at 9:18 a.m. at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He had been battling cancer for the past three years.
He was born December 25, 1957, in Marion County, the son of Bill G. Braswell and Aurretta Carr Braswell.
He worked as a pressman at Paper Art Company, INC. in Indianapolis for 21 years. He also worked at Great Dane in Brazil before his illness progressed.
He attended the Center Point United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Retta Braswell; his son, Nathaniel David Braswell; two daughters, Ashley Hilburn and Kristi Braswell; three grandchildren, Morgan, Colleen and Connor; five brothers, Billy Braswell and his wife, Beverly, Tommy Braswell, Pat Braswell, Jimmy Braswell and Tony Braswell; nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Penny Braswell; and his life partner, Elizabeth "Liz" Moss in 2001.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Rev. Myron James officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 5-7 p.m. and again Monday prior to the services. Post a heart of condolence at www.frenchfuneralhome.com
