Betty Petro, 76, of Bristol, Fla., and formerly of Clay City passed away Monday, July 3, 2006, at the Parthenon Health and Rehab Center in Blountstown, Fla.

Betty was born on Aug. 16, 1929, in Clay City. She was a retired secretary with the Department of Corrections and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank R. and Vonice Dyar of Bristol, Fla.; Gerald Dyar of Edmonds, Wash.; Frances and Donald Craft of Martinsville, Ind., and Darlene Russell of Clay City and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2006, in the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home.
