Michael W. Farris, 56 of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly July 8, 2006 at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 23, 1949, the son of Stanley Farris, Jr. and Doris Erdel Farris. He graduated from Staunton High School, class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970-1972.

He worked as a parts salesman for Hicks Auto, Esten Fuson and other car dealerships. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2, VFW #1127 and the Moose Lodge #780. He loved NASCAR, his dog "Fred" and a special buddy Zach.

Survivors include his brother Jeff Farris and his fiancée Diana Crafton; a special friend and companion, Susie Wells; children, Troy Farris, Scott Farris, Michelle Hull, and Mandy Farris; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Farris.
