Rose W. Rector, 88, of Staunton and formerly of Terre Haute died 1:30 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She formerly was a licensed beautician and had worked for Miller Parrot Baking Company and Kresege Dime Store before retiring as a salesperson from The Show Box. Her education included Honey Creek School, King Classical School and beauty school. In her youth she was a member of Maryland Communiity Church and more recently attended Terre Haute Bible Center.
She was born on July 15, 1917, in Terre Haute to Lyman Walter Williams and Mabel Bail Williiams. Her husband, Harold L. Rector, preceded her in death in 1982.
Mrs. Rector is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carol Rector, of Staunton; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Kavanagh and her husband, Robert, David Rector and his wife, Dawn, and Steven Rector; and one greatgrandchild, Erin Kavanagh.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lyman Roy Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2006, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with Pastor Jerry Nash officiatiing. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
