JAN M. TRIMBLE
Jan M. Trimble, 40, of Clay City, formerly of Indianapolis and Cincinnati, passed away July 15, 2006, in the emergency room of St. Vincent Clay Hospital due to complications from cancer.
She was born Jan. 24, 1966, in Cincinnati, the daughter of Arne Erickson and Carol Schurter Erickson. She graduated from Northwest High School, Class of 1984. She continued her education at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, graduating with a degree in Psychology. She obtained her Masters Degree in Parish Counseling from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky.
While attending seminary, she met and later married William Trimble, Jr. on Oct. 5, 1991. Together they served in Free Methodist Churches in the Cincinnati, area, Indianapolis and currently in Clay City. She enjoyed working with elderly in Senior Services and also as a home care chaplain. Her greatest joy has been being an at home mom to her daughter, Katie.
Survivors include her husband Bill Trimble of Clay City; daughter, Catherine "Katie" Grace Trimble at home in Clay City; her parents, Arne and Carol Erickson of Cincinnati; her brother Chris Erickson and his wife, Marsha, of Tucson, Ariz.; two nieces and a nephew, Gwen Erickson, Aubrey Erickson, and Harry Erickson all of Tucson; extended family and a close circle of friends.
Services will be held locally at the Free Methodist Church 901 White St., Clay City, on Tuesday at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Eden of Indianapolis officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m.
Services are entrusted to Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City. Services will also be held in Cincinnati at the Groesbeck United Methodist church on Saturday, July 22, 2006. Paul Young Funeral Home of Mt. Healthy will assist with services in Ohio.
