Pauline Archer Posavac, 78 of Brazil, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

She was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Mecca, Ind., as the daughter of Homer and Bertha Walton Batchelor. She attended Brazil High School. She married Robert Posavac who has preceded her in death. She worked as a waitress in local restaurants. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles and enjoyed sewing and cooking, especially making noodles as holiday gifts for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert; two brothers, two sisters and two sons, Kenneth Archer and William Archer.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Shelton of Lake Station, Ind.; two sons, James Archer of Brownsburg, Ind., and Thomas Archer of Valparaiso, Ind.; one sister, Dorothy Cooksey of Brazil and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 8 p.m. At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated following the funeral service and her ashes buried at Bee Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
