Alice M. Morris Greene, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Aug. 1, 2006.
She was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Terre Haute and graduated from Indiana State University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Greene. Survivors include a cousin, nieces and nephews.
Alice was a teacher in the Indianapolis Public Schools for 41 years - 28 years at School 30 and 13 years at School 50. She obtained her Master's Degree from Butler University. Also she taught in England for one year in the Teacher Exchange Program.
She was a member of the Carbon United Methodist Church, the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the Eiteljorg Museum.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the Carbon United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Pressel officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. until time of the services. Services have been entrusted to the Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the IU Cancer Center Fund for Breast Cancer Research of Dr. George Sledge.
