Born June 10, 1920, in Batabano, Havana, Cuba, he was the son of Emigdio Rubira and Amparo Sarmiento.
He was a fisherman.
Survivors include two daughters, Merceded Ax of LInton and Amparo Hernandez; three sons, Ramoi Rubira, Lazaro Rubira, Reynaldo Gil Deldad and a granddaughter Caridad Ax of Linton; two brothers, Juan Rubira and Bienbenido Rubira; two sisters, Almando Hernandez and Francisco Rubira.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Segundo Rubira and a daughter, Victoria Rubira; two brothers Grecelio and Antonio Rubira also two sisters Edermire and Georgina Rubira.
Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, 89 C St. NW Linton from 4 p.m. continuing through the entire evening, Friday, Aug. 18, 2006. Funeral services will be at Vista Funeral Home in Miami Lakes, Fla., at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes, Fla.
