George R. Fox, 84 of Reelsville, passed away at his residence Friday morning Sept. 8, 2006, following a battle with cancer. He was born April 30, 1922, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Joseph and Stella Roden Fox. Mr. Fox farmed in the Reelsville area for many years; however, his passions were fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, David Fox and Don Fox, and a great-grandson, Zachary.

He is survived by his wife Nellie; six children, 20 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren; and he was loved by many.

Friends are welcome to join the family for graveside services at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Olin Strader officiating. At the family's request, donation to Southern Care Hospice, are preferred in lieu of flowers, envelopes will be available at the service.
