Penny Archer, from Carbon, won the playhouse, raffled off by Habitat for Humanity of Clay County on Nov. 2. The organization is raising funds so they can begin their fourth Clay County home.
Archer wasn't home when the call came in so she first received the message from her answering machine.
"I was so excited." Archer said. "That's the first thing I've ever won in my life. It came the same week I was trying to explain tithing to a friend of mine. I gave my baby-sitting money to the church that week.
"I told my friend, if you give to God, He'll give something back. I said, now you watch. Something good will come from this. I got home from church and the message about the playhouse was on my answering machine. I certainly didn't expect anything so tangible so quickly," Archer laughed. "My friend was astonished. It got the message across to her."
Archer said she doesn't think God blesses us unless we share our blessings with others.
"My grandchildren are sharing this blessing. They were as excited as I was. And I think that the Habitat for Humanity is a great organization. It's neat that they do things like that."
