Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled and the Indiana State University baseball team with coach Bob Warn will sponsor a Wabash Valley Baseball Clinic on Feb. 1.
The clinic will provide the basic skills of baseball to boys and girls ages 6 to 14 and will give them the opportunity to meet and work with the ISU baseball team and Warn.
The proceeds that are generated by their volunteer efforts for the clinic benefit senior and disabled citizens of the Wabash Valley. For instance, the funds raised from this event have helped provide meals in Area 7's congregate and home-delivered meal programs as well as the van service of Area 7's Senior and Disabled Transportation Program.
The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Check in at 8:30 a.m. at the ISU Arena in Terre Haute. Cost is $22 per child (includes T-shirt and certificate). For more information or to get a registration form, call (812) 238-1561 or 1-800-489-1561; deadline is Jan. 22.
