Purdue Extension Service and the Restaurant and Hospitality Association of Indiana in cooperation with the County Health Department are offering ServSafe Training both in Terre Haute and Brazil.
ServSafe is the most universally recognized and accepted course by state, county and municipal health authorities requiring sanitation training of foodservice managers. It meets the new Indiana certification requirements and is dedicated to helping the restaurateur prevent food borne illness potential. Implementing food safety training for all managers and employees of retail food establishments is the only solution in preventing food borne illness when eating out.
The training will be offered Feb. 20 and 27 in Brazil, at Stoll's Blue Bonnet Restaurant, 903 W. Jackson St. and also March 4 and 11 at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds located at 3901 U.S. 41 S. in Terre Haute. Participants will receive two intensive days of training by certified instructors.
Interested persons can contact their local Purdue Extension Service for more information and a registration form. Call the County Extension Office at 812-448-9041 for details.
