NHS limiting gifts, flowers

Friday, January 31, 2003

Northview High School will allow delivery of Valentine's Day gifts this year with some restrictions.

Vendors and individuals may bring the Valentine's Day orders to the Northview High School cafeteria at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, principal Ken Wallace said this week.

"Vendors must provide the office with a list (An e-mail list will be fine or an e-mailed attached Word document) of students who will be getting gifts from that particular vendor by 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 so that we can publish the list to teachers," Wallace said. "We will release those students who have gifts from their sixth period class at approximately 2:55 p.m. so that they can go to the cafeteria to pick up their gifts.

"Vendors will be expected to stay with the orders in the cafeteria until the students have picked them up. Having a sign to identify the vendor will be helpful. Any item not picked up by a student must be taken out by the vendor that brought it in. No other Valentine week or day deliveries will be accepted."
