Clay City students compete

Monday, February 24, 2003

The Clay City Imperial Winter Guard traveled to Owen Valley High School Saturday to participate in another Indiana High School Color Guard Association competition.

The guard competed against 23 other guards earning a fourth place finish.

Guard director Laurie Reberger was very pleased with the performance. "We made a lot of changes since our last contest. The girls have done a fantastic job of adapting to the new drill and choreography edits. Just the manner in which they carry themselves has improved tremendously over the past few weeks," commented Reberger.

The Imperial Winter Guard will perform at 2:53 p.m. Saturday at the Northview Guard contest.

Also on Saturday, 10 Clay City Jr./Sr. High School Band students participated in the Indiana State School Music Association's State Solo and Ensemble Contest at North Central High School in Indianapolis.
