Although a tornado warning was posted for Clay County late Saturday morning, relatively minor wind damage was reported in the county, according to a Clay County Sheriff's Department spokesman.
Strong winds toppled trees and caused power outages, but no one was injured as a direct result of the weather.
A multiple car accident in Brazil was reported around noon. The vehicles' occupants were reportedly taken to St. Vincent Clay Hospital with minor injuries.
Around 11 a.m. Saturday, a severe thunderstorm that slammed into Terre Haute, ripping a roof from a fire station, causing flooding and pea-sized hail, had left Vigo County and entered Clay County, according to reports on WTHI-TV.
A tornado warning for Clay County expired before noon. No tornado had touched down in Clay County by noon, said a Sheriff's Department spokesman.
